What age can you use baby (door) bouncers from? And any advice on where to get a good inexpensive one? x

:/ thought it was. Could really do with one for John now. He has complete head control and is just about sitting though that still needs help at min, but his fav thing to do now is get his feet underneath him and push up on them. If you hold him up he'll cry until gets something under his feet and then pushes down with a little growl and smiles loads. Infact tries to take steps. and don't want him in a baby walker yet. Very hard to keep holding him. His second fav thing is to pretend to sneeze, weird child lol x

Haha At the sneezing!! I can't wait for James to have his too. He got told off by the doctor at his 6 week check for trying to out so much weight on legs and trying to stand. Little monkey. He'll love it when he can have it! x

Ladies, I think it can be 4 months. Like Fattyboom said once they can hold their heads. It might depend a little on the design. The MIL if buying one for us (we hope) and I would like to see LO in it mid Jan. He's getting very strong now but sometimes lacks control xx hope John is well :-)

Yh think it may depend on design and stuff actually having had a quick glance at them :-) yh James is very strong but also lacks control at times. Can't believe he'll be 4 months old on boxing day! x

Still hitting himself, but starting to get better since he's started taking hold of things and moving them. He has remarkable head control according to HV, but not going to risk doing things to early. Wow, can't believe James nearly 4 months. Time flying by x

in reply tojoda

Really is! He's gona be a grown up before I know it lol! Tell John it's naughty to hit himself....hit mummy instead haha! x

Oh and bravo to john on the head control! :D

Finley is 13 wks tomorrow and he is in his baby walker which has car horn and stuff on it...he doesnt need help in it although sometimes he slips forward. X

Hugo has a lindam door bouncer... this is the one...

Think he went in at about 3.5 months as he has full head controll and enough strength in his back to sit up, just not the balance to do it himself lol!! X

Hey, I've just bought one for Eoin (Amazon), same as rachgibson above. Haven't put him in it yet as saving it for Xmas. He'll be 17 weeks, he's got good head control and loves to be 'bounced'. I'll be glad to put him in it and save my arms!!!xx

Get a fisher price jumperoo they are amazing it's like a door jumper but on the floor and they can go in it as soon as they have head control. All my friends with babies think it's brilliant they should only go in it for short periods but babies Absolutley love it :)

Thanks rachgibson. Might get one. He is only 10 weeks but very controlled in his head, and strong in his back. We have a baby walker coming. Was trying to hold out til end of Jan before getting either but last night proved we need to do something now. From the second daddy (6pm) got in from work until bedtime (10pm) he wanted on his feet. Had him in bedroom while daddy was getting changed and as soon as his feet touched bed he was trying to bounce on it. Needless to say this morn he's still tired and has fallen asleep on his mat x
