Since falling pregnant my left thigh had been going numb, now at 27 weeks it's not just numb but if I stand up for any longer than 5 mins I'm in agony, it starts to feel like it's vibrating and I get a burning sessation, has anyone else had this? What to do?
Xxx

Could be siatica or a trapped nerve? Have u been to ur g.p? They can refer u to physio if it doesn't go away. ..siatica usual is in ur bum cheek and goes down ur leg. .. but it def sounds like a trapped nerve that is probably linked to ur back? X
I would definitely go to the Dr and get it checked, like babymother said could be trapped nerve other thing I can think of is a DVT but never had one so not really sure if symptoms sound right or not. Always better to get it checked though xxxx
It sounds like a "trapped nerve" or something similar like that as during pregnancy we sometimes find ourselves resorting in sleeping unusual positions.
The best thing to do is just keep moving & try not to sit in one place too long as that may make it feel worse, but if you think the pain is too unbearable go & see your G.P.
Where in the thigh is the pain? I had inner thigh pain during the 3rd trimester which worsened as I got heavier. I am 8 weeks post birth now and still have pain...had my 6 week check last week and GP said ligaments still slack because of hormones as breast feeding and could be a while before it will get better x
Thanks for your responses and help ladies, it's so frustrating not being able to do anything about it, will speak to midwife again tho and try and get a physio referral.
Eurgh, I had sciatica. It's crap! Mine was weird though coz it disappeared for a few weeks when I reached about 30 weeks...even though I was getting huge! Lol. Hope it feels better soon and hope you are as lucky as me and get some temporary relief at least soon x
