Side effects.....

Ok so I've never been high but think last night I came close!!

I'm taking naproxen and tramadol after being on a bus that crashed a few weeks ago.

I'm only taking 2 tramadol per day as I've had them before and they made me really drowsy! But last night was something else!

I felt like I'd had 5 bottles of wine, was soaking wet from sweat (sorry tmi) but I wasn't hot, hands and face were numb, had hallucinations and then I got the munchies!!!

As I say I've had tramadol before but never felt like that!!

I don't normally read information leaflets because they frighten me!! but think I'm gonna have to!!

Trouble is, they worked for the pain! :(

maybe talk to ur doc and see if there is something just as effective that is less strong? I've heard stories at work about tramadol being almost like a legal high and especially with hormones and ur body responding differently to things than usual, u could just be really sensitive to the side effects.

If they work for the pain, is it worth it when u felt like u did? Can u manage the effects to have the benefits of the pain relief? I hope u get better soon, sounds scary being in a bus crash xx

I've had co-codamol which didn't work at all that's why they moved me up to tramadol, the pain has been getting worse since the accident, struggle to look after growing baby without any pain relief! Constant lifting and cleaning etc!!

I broke my back 9 years ago so it's painfull all the time any way but it's a hell of a lot worse now!! :(

What strength co codamol have u got think u can take maximum 30mg also they can give u just codeine on its own then u can take paracetamol don't know if that's different. ..dr fluffy is the one to ask. ...tramadol have never affected me like that have u tried taking them after food. .. and the naproxen u have to take after food dont u? The dr prescribed ozameprole to line my stomach when he prescribed the naproxen. .. they are strong painkillers are u taking them together? .... def not what u need when looking after a baby! X

Co-codamol is 500mg, tramadol is 50mg

Had codeine on its own it didn't help either!

I take both tramadol and naproxen on a full stomach with a pint of water!

Doubtful anything will work to be honest the only time I haven't had back lain in nearly 9 years was when I had an epidural! This bus crash has just made things worse! :o[

X

Oh bless u that sounds awful the hosp have got to do something surely constant pain is awful I really feel for u... the co codamol should be 500mg/30mg so 500 paracetamol and 30 codeine but I'm sure they have given u the

max....and think u can take 2 tramadol so 100mg x

I'm hoping I might get referred to a consultant if it still doesn't improve! Don't think I could up tramadol to 2 just because of how crazy I felt on one! It's not bad on a weekend when my husband is here but midweek I can't be responsible for Hugo when I feel like that! :( x
