Hi,

It may be worth ringing your G.p for a possible referral to a SPD consultant.

Xx

Could Be sciatica I had it really bad I went to see a chiropractor and initially it made it worse but it has got so much better the thing I felt helped the most was a hot water bottle or bean bag and I constantly sat on it kept reheating it and sitting on it and resting don't walk too much have nice warm baths ifu can manage to get in and out and go and see ur g.p they can prescribe some painkillers and arrange physio for u... but in the meantime u can take paracetamol hope it eases x

Try not to worry, but go and see your GP because it could be something rather than nothing.

Have you had your dating scan yet? If not I would ask for a scan, at this early stage you need to rule out eptopic pregnancy as a possible cause. Also keep and eye on your legs for any swelling or calf pain, from my own experience I had similar symptoms (+leg swelling) which turned out to be an extensive deep vein thrombosis in my left leg, a bit unusual but not unheard of in pregnancy.

It could be related to the hormonal changes and softening of the body, muscles, ligaments etc, but it is quite early for that, in which case osteopathic or chiropractic treatment may be good to set your back straight. The only way you will know whats happening is if you go to the Dr, in between time paracetamol is safe to take, keep up with your fluids and be kind to yourself. Take care :)

Have you had any accidents / issues with your back etc in the past? It could be that as all your ligaments soften its rearing up an old injury i have been experiencing the same (i'm 14 weeks) and its as a direct result of an accident i had years ago unfortunately my back isn't straight and pelvis and hips are kinda shifted over slightly not much more can be done to help now. Anyway see the doc could be something could be nothing.
