Hello they took my blood for iron level at 28 week, it was near the cut off but they did not give any tablets. I said I feel shortness of breath at 32 they repeat the test. I am anemic. Is there anybody like this?

I was just on the border line in hospital check up at 28 weeks and they told me to eat spinach and red meat which is rich in iron. Just drink plenty of fluids and look into some pregnancy tablets, I know you might think they are a fad but I think some of them contain iron.

I eat all this stuff but no change. I need tablets I think.

If your anaemic they should have put you on iron supplements of some sort. Mine did come on very suddenly and fluctuates up and down so they do keep checking to see how much iron should be taking so def go back and ask about tablets if they've said your anaemic and haven't given you anything for it x

Spatone is very effective. Liquid iron sachets available from places like boots x

Hi first time mum they found out I was anaemic at 26 weeks through blood and midwife gave me tables I also eat lots of food containing iron and I do feel better! If you feel really poorly like getting migraines and sickness ect go to your doctor! Pregnancy tables are good to but don't contain a lot of iron! Hope you feel better soon

When I had my 28weeks bloods it come back that I was anemic so ive been put on 3 210mg iron tablets a day! Its a nightmare coz I cant take my gaviscon 2 hours before or after taking the tablet! Haha but knowing I'm anemic explains so much about my sudden overtiredness and in ability to sleep! Now I'm on these tablets I am picking up abit which is great since I'm on my feet 32+ hrs a week! Haha. Hope you get some tablets for it xx

it doesnt cause constipation but u may find ur poo is black and tar-like...I used to work in a nursing home and I detested doing the bum duty of those on that stuff. I really hope u dont get this side effect too much xx

I was on 3 of those a day, now reduced to 1 so hopefully you'll be able to reduce dosage after a while too. Drink plenty, orange juice been a big help, and eat fruit should help keep constipation away. At least has with me x

was down at a low 9 something, so was quite bad. Had come on very suddenly too, but on the up side did go back up fairly quickly. I never could do things by halfs :) you should start feeling better very soon x
