How long did it take to get pregnant after a first child?

We've been trying for 1 year 5 months and nothing.

Are you / had you being on any form of contraception ?

As well as the obvious of are you regularally having sex it can take a few months for the pill for etc.... to work its way out of your system.

Id pop and see ur g.p they should do checks like ur bloods to see if ur ovulating ok etc. . After A year they intervene so ur over that x

1 year 11 mts ! I'm now 37 weeks and baby will b here a week on fri . I took 9 mts 2 get caught with my son after coming off the pill I have been on 4 10 years I decided I wouldn't have hormonal contraceptive after him thinking that had delayed the conception but it didn't work like that , after a year I went 2 doc and had always tracked my periods only then I realised they were coming as little as 16 days apart ( I'm sure u know when ur trying a period seems forever away so hadn't realised ) after blood tests not showing anything up except low iron from bleeding so often the doc wanted to put me on the pill to regulate me , I took it a couple of mts then felt I couldn't any more so started herbal options and it did lengthen my cycle to a normal range , then after the threat of a job loss I stopped everything and I fell pregnant that mth . I had been doing ovulation tests and having as much sex as possible in the fertile window especially , think we did it a handful of times the month I got caught without even a thought of making a baby !

Try to relax and let it happen , u have 1 so u know u can do it and every baby is a blessing . but I would c a doc if u haven't already just 2 get ur hormones checked.
