Brilliant, I love mine too xxx
I second this! If anybody is thinking of buying one I thoroughly recommend Angel Sounds - but be sure to buy an extra bottle of gel while you're at it as you only get a tiny tube!
My son particularly likes to use it, although he is under the impression it's a phone, "hello baby, come out and play blocks please. Thanks bye" - adorable! X
yeah brilliant its so reassuring to hear babys heartbeat,
yeah you only get a very small tube of gel, soon I,ll have to get some more, you only need to use a tiny bit but wont last long at all as tube is tiny, on the reviews a lot of people say they use moisturiser and it works the same as the gel, 1st time I uses it took about 20seconds to find heartbeat but now I find it within seconds,
(lol dons88 your son will be excited for his baby arriving.
Please help... I read this post the other day so I have bought one, it arrived today and me and my husband could only pick up my heart beat. I daren't press on too hard as I'm afraid of hurting my baby.
We are 14 weeks tomorrow, been told I have a front lying placenta does this make a difference ???
Thanks yummy mummy's
Nicky xx
Don't fret, you're only 13+6 which is really early to hear the heartbeat. I know that some ladies can hear it from 12 but generally a midwife won't even try to find it until 16 weeks in order not to worry the mother if they can't find it.
I don't know for sure that a front lying placenta will make it more tricky but it certainly makes sense - I do know that the wooshy sound you can hear with your Doppler is your placenta.
These gadgets are brilliant when they work but can cause worry - if not finding it is making you worry I'd advise you to stick it in the cupboard for a couple of weeks and try again. Trust your baby, I'm sure it's kicking about in there quite happily but is just too small to be noticed yet x
