Well last night at 15 +6 I thought I would have a go at finding bumps heartbeat with a Doppler I had borrowed from my sister and I was amazed when I found it and it was so clear!!! Hubby and I were just so amazed to be able to hear our babies heartbeat for the first time!
Has anyone else had a go with one??

I still keep debating on whether to get one or not
I was bidding for one on ebay but lost out at the last minute, gutted. Ah you will use it loads. Does it say on the info how many weeks you might be able to use it from??
Well I have seen on various forums that say some people found it really early on at around 10 weeks then others couldn't until around 20 weeks. I saw my midwife at 13 and she couldn't find it. I so think everyone is different.
If you do get one I think it is important not to get worried if you can't find it as you would hope! It doesn't mean there is anything wrong.
I only tried listening with a doppler from about 20 weeks for extra reassurance (on top of being aware of baby's movements). It's lovely to hear just be sure that it is definitely the heartbeat you are hearing, it's easy to get confused and think it is the heartbeat (which should be a sort of clippedy clip sound) you are hearing when you are actually hearing the placenta (a sort of whooshing sound).
Thats great so long as it's your babies heart beat and not yours? My midwife at 16 weeks picked up my HB via an artery in abdo/groin before she picked up the babies. I have Doppler at my work so I will use that if I feel the need but I played music to our baby last night and felt movement, it worked a treat x
