No Rubella immunity

Found i was pregnant 2 weeks ago at 43 ,a complete shock pregnancy as i had fertility treatment with the other 2.

Had a letter today to say i no longer have immunity to rubella ,anyone else in the same position? how worried should i be ?

Rubella is from the vaccine given when we are youngsters. Ask your go if they would do another vaccine, not sure if you can!

Me neither, had the vaccine 3 times and rubella twice as a child. Thankfully thanks to many people being vaccinated the risk is very low. Most cases are from countries that dont have a vaccination programme in place. If you are worried, let people know, so that if any kids do get it that people will let you know, and you can stay away.

You will be offered the vaccine again after your pregnancy. Sorry forgotted to add that in!

Yes I was told the same, even though I had the vaccine as a child. I was given the vaccine after birth & another booster 4wks later. The risk here is low.

I wasn't vaccinated against it and with my first child I had no immunity (obviously) but during this pregnancy I have the antibodies so at some point in the last couple of years I've had Rubella and not even realised it. I can't help thinking if i've had the illness without realising then the vaccine is somewhat over rated-especially as one of the previous posts has said they had the vaccines and still got it...basically, I wouldn't worry too much.
