its bad luck to have your pram in your house when your pregnant i have a 8month already
Nooooooooo don't be daft! Just because u have a pram doesn't mean something bad is going to happen! I heard all of these superstition crap before, it really is made to scare people.
I have had baby bits in my house since 17 weeks, now at 31 weeks I'm all ready set
Enjoy buying thing Hun xxx
As far as I'm aware, the pram in house = bad luck hypothesis has never been supported by the results of any double-blind, placebo-controlled study
Sometimes following these superstitious little rules can be fun, and/or give you a sense of connection to your forebears or cultural identity (after all, these traditions vary widely from country to country), like wearing something old, new, borrowed, and blue at your wedding, but if they get in the way of making sensible decisions, it's gone too far. There's no reason to get rid of a perfectly serviceable car seat, especially when you've gone for a brand as expensive as the iCandy.
If you feel strongly about it, you could always store the bits you don't need yet at someone else's house. We left the pram at my mother-in-law's house until little'un was born, not because my husband or I cared, but because when we mentioned in passing that we'd reserved the pram at Argos and were about to fetch it, my mother-in-law had a freakout, and by way of a completely unrelated bit of parenting advice, sometimes it's a good idea to let meddlesome relatives have their way on something that doesn't matter, like the location of baby things before the birth, so that when you have to put your foot down over an issue that really does matter, such as when to start your baby on solids, they don't feel like their aged (but completely out of date) wisdom is being completely ignored...
I was told that with my first 18 yr ago. I am ten weeks today and have a pram that was barely used from previous children plus baby swing, bouncer and other bits. I buy things on offer and in the sales due to wanting to keep costs down. No harm in it.
Have you been listening to some old wives Technically your pram is for your little one that you have already so I would say under supasticious rules you are fine to keep it in the house. If you are not using the car seat now can you stick it out of sight for a while? From Mystic Meg
I found out at 7 months and had everything within the week.. I heard plenty of superstitions but I personally believe that if you strongly believe in something then it becomes true.. So if your gut says get it out then do x
