So we went through IVF and have been amazingly lucky and got a BFP first time. I've got my viability scan on July 18th (will be 6/7 weeks ish then I think) and am just wondering, should I wait until then to tell the gp or do I need to do it sooner?
I'm very aware that I shouldn't get my hopes up until then, but it's hard not to after our first positive result in 2 years of trying. When do you have your first midwife appointment? Is there anything else I should be doing?
Thanks! X

Hi not sure if it is different as you went thought ivf, but with natural pregnancy midwife would see you at about 8-10 weeks. Nothing stops you to book appt after your viability scan. Congratulation and good luck
I went through IVF and on my first BFP I filled out an online form for the midwife before my viability scan and went on to have a missed miscarriage so the next time I waited. I have my viability scans at 8 weeks and was seen by midwife at 10 weeks xx
I booked an appointment at the doctors for after my viability scan. I was also an ivf pregnancy. Once you have this scan they discharge you so that’s when I took myself along to the doctor who then referred me to the midwives. x
I informed my gp and asked for midwife referral after second viability scan, around 8 weeks. Didn’t see a midwife until around 10 weeks. You have plenty of time. Good luck for your scan xx
