today myself, and Jermaine - a staff Member- went to the local Pub, for lunch. We left 'mine', at about, 1:20- arriving, at the pub, some five/ six minutes later.
'They' took our Details before our order- the drinks arrived a few minutes later. The food took about twenty minutes, but was 'Really Quite Good', for Pub food. I had the Chicken Tikka Marsala- Jermaine had Cumberland Sausage, Mash and Gravy.
With the Drinks, it was Β£15, including a small Tip.... which I didn't think was Badππ.

Oh its so good being able to start enjoying those simple things in life once again. I'm glad you had a good time. Life is worth living and can still be good.Cheers.
That's not bad at all. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Its so good to be doing these things gradually again. As a lover of music and theatre I can't wait to get back to seeing performances again.
Yes myself, and my Mother, used to frequent the Theatres locally. There are (or were!) two in the Town and one (that was easily accessible) in Colchester.
Then there was the Frinton Local Theatre, were many a career was launched. The Cinema? yes sometimes, depending on the Film. Meal Out...but Inside, I 'miss' the most.... the COMPANY of Others, Family, Friends, The 'Chit-Chat', that you can 'Tune' into.....'Simon is So happy with his new car......'Oh you Shouldn't have, their Lovely Darling..... Stupid bloomin' Game anyway, the 'Under fives' could have beaten us....'You must be 'Joking', how much?..... 'You should have Gone before we left Home....' just Life, 'Silly' concerns....Beautiful!
I pray, each day, for an end to this Pandemic... Both Nationally and in the World as a whole.
As I live quite near London I'm spoilt for choice. I also go to Cambridge as well. Yes I pray for an end to it too. The powers that be tell us we will have to live with it for a while yet .Ok if we have the vaccines band people use their common sense. Yes I've missed my friends like mad most of them I haven't seen since Feb 2020.
Lovely and cheap too. I have been resuming meals out with friends on Thursday lunchtime - up to 6 of us. It's a big pub overlooking the sea and they have a big marquee up. The cheapest meal in there is about Β£7 but a pint of Fosters costs Β£4 so it's not that cheap. It's very nice though.
Getting back to normal is fantastic though isn't it? π
i reckon though everything is going to be rather pricey now.?
A great outing AndrewT. Glad you enjoyed it and that wasn't a bad bill for it all, as you say. Shame about the weather. It's time it came over to our side and offered us a little warmth, but at least it's good to be able to get out and about a little more! π
Hi AndrewThat was a good price and I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. We will obviously be glad when Ian's girlfriend and Mike have had their vaccines. Mike lives with us, Ian and Chantelle in Cambridge, can't wait to we can all be together. I've missed my family and friends but I'm lucky that I don't live on my own. Mike really isn't well, he's waiting for a date for a sigmoidoscopy, he's in so much pain but because he's not got a diagnosis he isn't classed as vulnerable. Sorry, I went off on a tangent then!! You should know me by now π
Have a lovely weekend. Lynne ππ€
