Dear All,
Having 'put it off' for days (weeks, months?- alright not months), I had to CLEAN the kitchen worktops..... As I moved things about- 'finding' about twelve empty glass bottles, in the process- I found a Lovely Piece of Genoa Cake, all nicely wrapped and 'good' to eat😋.
Well I just had to put the kettle on, didn't I? I mean I HAD to🤗. It sometimes 'Pays' to clear up... a 'bit' anyway.

I was not able to get my home tidy and in desperation family members came, cleared sorted, put away and made me soooo happy 😊

Nice one, I have started a bit of a spring clean a little late this year. Have a great "man with a van" who I have been putting off contacting, until life was a bit nearer normal. I am just hoping he is OK. I have found a few items of clothes I had forgotten about, unsure if they will fit. Having lost nearly 3" in height, dresses can be a problem, as most of the height goes in the spine, distance between shoulders and hips vanishes. This means I am finding midi dresses, or long ones needing a lot of hem cutting off. I am never lucky enough to find food, too good at eating this the minute it comes into the flat. I did find an unopened bag of dumplings in my freezer, had thought they might cheer up bowls of chicken or tomato soup, then forgot them. It is almost chill enough again to have soup with dumplings for supper this week, a good way to celebrate the fact that Test Cricket starts again on Wed. actually, it is late enough to say today!! Now all I have to do is go online and find out what is happening to the World Rugby 7's for the future.

This gives me the incentive to tidy up , you never know what you will find!!
I shall not enter our son's room, though it is much better than it used to be!! It still needs a government health warning on a poster stuck on his door!! I know it will be tidy once his girlfriend comes round in August once we are truly out of lockdown. I can't complain, really, though, he does cook tea nearly every night if the week!! Our other son lives with his girlfriend and you should see how tidy he is now he is in his own place ☺️!! Take care and stay safe Lynne
Finding a cake as you clean is a perfect excuse to take a break. Then forget about cleaning for the rest of the day or more.
