Having a coffee in swan park
When someone made a comment about the record amount of frosts and lack of rain ( 10% )
In April
He stated he reckoned the reason was lack of airplanes flying
Anyone agree ?

I hadn’t thought about that but it’s true there has been little air traffic. What I’ve noticed is how clearer the sky is at night here and how quieter so I’m quite happy to have less air traffic haha. It’s absolutely beautiful here this morning and just a light frost but so cold!
I think that, as far as the United Kingdom's weather is concerned, that's a stretch. Seldom do two years show the same pattern of weather. As an over 70 year old I can remember an enormous range of April weather in years gone by. It's one of the most variable months. But still, it's an interesting point to muse!
Not directly. It's the Global warning that is screwing us up, and that has far more to do with the longlasting effect of the Industrial Revolution and deforestation.
The increase in Carbon Dioxide is partly due to deforestation, also the volcanic cycle, which has been quite high in the last 20 or so years.
Fossil fuels, Gas, Electricity generation by Coal, The increasing heat is disrupting the various Ocean currents which have a warming or cooling effect on the lands and therefore the weather. The effect of aircraft is relatively minimal.
Nuclear Fission is another problem, although a lesser one in the greater scheme of things.
There is also the Solar intensity fluctuations to feed into it and I'm not sure where we are on that scale at present. As well as the regular Cooling/Warming effect of the earth itself.
