Thank you. I had it for dinner tonight and it was delicious, I added some peanut butter for protein and because I love it of course.

I was wondering how you had the good fortune to obtain jackfruit for your curry Alicia until I saw that it was done with canned! I find that works perfectly well, as does breadfruit from a can too. I may well give this one a go myself!👍

Ah yes, canned is good. I've not actually seen it in the shops. I've been told that jackfruit as a savoury dish is better than a sweet one.

I guess that could be challenging BrentW but you can order it, salt fish, and other Caribbean goodies online. Sometimes a bit more than you’d wish to pay though. My most costly purchase to date is a bottle of Clayton’s Cola Tonic that cost me more than a good bottle of wine. But it did last me all summer! 😅

The Grape Tree sell canned jackfruit, Aldi did but they seemed to have stopped it at present which they do tend to do with some of their products.

Your curry sounds delish. We had a butter bean curry and a dahl made from urid beans. My brother buys them in bulk as very health giving but not on Fodmap diet I imagine. Never had them before but very tasty, like little black lentils.

Thank you Diana. Ooh now that does sound delicious and I'd not heard of Urid beans before so I've just looked them up on the internet and see that they are like lentils and high in protein. I would think I'd be able to eat them in reasonable quantity as I can eat pulses and lentils and have no problem, I'm pretty sure it's the probiotics I take that are making it easier. They really do look like lentils.
