It’s a lovely warm sunny day here so I decided to get out into the garden. I did a bit of gardening, and then just sat and looked to see what had changed since last year. The hazel has catkins, there are some dwarf daffodils, the bulbs are coming up, there are buds forming on many of the plants. There are bees around and the birds are singing. The sky is blue, no clouds, and just a gentle breeze. If you are able try to get out in the sunshine, I feel so much better after just an hour.

I also went out and did some weeding and brushing. Definitely makes you feel good
Glad you were able to get out too Roxylox. I did some brushing, tidying and a tiny bit of mowing (had to give up in the end, but I will do it but by bit). I rewarded myself with a sit down. It’s good to feel the sun on your skin.
My garden is a bit of a mess at he moment. I'm going to cut back all the overgrown shrubs and an old fig tree, then clean up all the paving.A kit of work but necessary, I've left it for too long. Then, I'm going to start again with lots of new plants.😁🐰
I had a lovely lunchtime walk today and felt better for it!
I’m glad you were able to have a lunchtime walk catgirl, I hope the weather was as good for you too.
Thank you for the photo Jerry, that solitary daffodil stands out amongst all the green.
I too got out into the garden, coatless in the sun! Tidied up a bit and noticed my “old friends “ starting to make a show of themselves 😊 Also, however, noticed how much more breathless and unfit I am. I am really going to work on this as I am determined to enjoy the summer after the year we have all had. I plan to make up for all the entertaining I was going to do last year, including my 60th birthday party and my granddaughter’s going to have a special party as she missed out completely last year.Bless her not one word of complaint!Certainly time to be looking forward and planning! Have a lovely weekend all xx
Glad you were able to make the most of the sun today leo, I am the same as you, breathless and unfit.☹️You have a lot to look forward to this year, it’s good to be able to look forward and plan. A great weekend to you too.
Good for you, it really can lift the spirits! Spring is my favourite Season, and it's certainly taking its hold 😊 Xxx
Sorry you weren’t feeling so good today Niao, I think it’s mine too. It will make us all feel so much better hopefully.🤞
😊 Yep, more baby birdies for me to enjoy😄
We have a lot of magpies and crows, they try to take the eggs/babies from the nests. The parent birds don’t stand a chance, so sad.
I know, it's very sad. Thankfully 'my' Corvids are not too bad, probably because I feed them so much!We used to shoo them away but gave in and embraced them. We also thought having them around would put off Sprawky, 'our Sparrowhawk, with whom I have a very love/hate relationship with!
Now I'm incredibly fond of all the Rooks, Magpies and Jackdaws, as you may know from my post about Jimmy. They are so intelligent and very amusing. 😊
I remember watching a television programme where I think it was a Jackdaw, was set a number of puzzles to solve. It’s ingenuity was incredible.
Remarkable birds! Did you watch Chris Packham Animal Einsteins, last, or was it this, week? Some interesting displays of animal intelligence!
I can't agree with you more about getting outside - it feels like a miracle feeling the sun on your face! I feel so sun deprived these past few months especially with all the horrible weather.
Yes, I agree waitingame. The sun (in moderation) can benefit us mentally and physically.
