,vaccination day tomorrow.my bag is packed ,excited like going on holiday.clothes planned and ready. sleeveless teashirt for easy access, to my upper arm .bag is packed with masks and gel .at last I'm gonna be free.i close my eyes and hope and pr ay that nothing can stop the awaited jab.🙄lol.this is what it feels like to overcome fear,isola tion .and loneliness.so hang in there and look after each other ,your turn will come .😷

I understand how you feel , mine is happening Tuesday.
I can understand your excitement. I got a phone call from my GP surgery today I've got mine 1st Feb and J was so thrilled. I will still be taking precautions for a long time afterwards though. But it really feels like things are starting to get better at last. All the best 🐰

Is this for a COVID jab excuse my ignorance but does that mean you will be living how you please?as you've put your freedom is back etc.it just sounds concerning it's probably not but it's a wierd feeling to me I've never thought of this new vaccine that way when there are still so many rules and regulations in place

Aww so sorry about that my mum is the same she has vascular dementia and I'm currently pregnant won't be able to see her grandchild not sure if she's been offered the vaccine or not as she's only 54 good luck to your mum
Freedom from fear .of getting covid and not being able to breath .freedom from not using a precious NHS bed which is badly needed for the younger fitter ones than us vulnerable over 80 .freedom from not having to rely on all the wonderfully volunteers to do my shopping and get my medication ..I can go on forever.the most exciting event will be to see my grandchildren and great grandchildren and perhaps be allowed to touch their hand ...hope this answers your question.😷 I can't wait to take a walk in the park and not be so afraid of maskless joggers .Mandy understands .

Please write it under a new post as this is rather upsetting for me my mum hasent hugged her grandchildren since before lockdown and I'm due to give birth next week my partner is not allowed to be their unless I'm in active labour which means he could potentially miss it.she won't be able to hold my new born it's all exciting for this new vaccine but not for everyone who dosent have the option sorry to be a downer on such a positive post just made me quite emotional my mum is 54 with early vascular dementia she dosent have the option for the vaccine to see her grandchildren

We are getting ours on Saturday evening too. It's great that this could be the beginning of the end but even after the second dose, we will not be able to rush out as if there was no Covid. Its effects are not yet completely proven.

How fantastic for you.My dad who is 74 and has asthma was due his last thursday but had to cancel due to heavy snow here.He is having it this afternoon and so is my mum.Such a relief to be on the way to feeling safer for everyone.
Just back from my vaccination. It was brilliantly organised, thanks to our wonderful NHS 😀
Vaccine done today so safe organised and quick.i had a fear of needles..but not now. Never felt a thing ...it was done ....thanks to all at haxby surger y Kingswood in hull Yorkshire you are all wonderfull .you saved my life with that jab.we all owe so much to so many .and I hope we are all doing our bit ,which is a very, very big bit b.y obeying the rules .PLEASE.
