Well, we are sort of getting back to normal. I have missed a good bit of what all you wonderful people have to say.
My mom’s live in caregivers got the virus. My mom is 99. They moved out, we moved in. I felt like I was crawling with microbes for the first week. The caregivers have recovered, my mom didn’t get the virus, and everyone is back where they belong after a month of worry.
I do believe my mom intends to outlive me. It was a fantastic month being with her. The life of the party.
The photo is our son’s dog taking over the cat bed by the fire. Hard to imagine he can fit in there.
I hope everyone had a good holiday.

Good morning happy new year so are you ok then and your mum never got virus and how long was she in contact with the carers when they had it, it is a weird virus some of my family had it and in there bubble didn't but then others get it easy and don't know where from so I am mentioning that for anyone reading so not to get too less cautious with it, this will put my mams mind at ease tho, she was anxious today just because I went to shop and I told her was no one in just grabbed couple things at front of shop and was well covered, your dog is a real sweetie and don't they just love going in places they shouldn't, where is your cat tho and I'm slightly concerned about my cat been in a fight with a cat and him been safe of the virus but I think we can over think and worry too much so I keep blocking that out he was ok before all tho he was real poarly with a strange cold just after virus came out, I hope you have a nice day hugs from Mandy and pixie oh and your mum must have good genes and so you also and made of strong stuff, she sounds amazing 😸😊🌟xx
Hi well country living is good away from fumes and less stressfull my cat pixie sleeps with me I'm wondering does your mum have any health conditions my mam's 81 coronary heart disease has 2 stents from blocks she's got bad anxiety about catching virus and it's hard been with her she used to be fun now she's just well how can I say it in a state of doom gloom and it's making me ill I stayed in like 5 days in row on 2 occasions as of her saying we can't go out I said I'm moving back home and it's too much living like this it's been nearly a year locked down together exept slight retriev times I've had enough xx
Hi, just writing to say hello and to learn that your mum didn't get the virus against all odds. Tell your mum to continue doing what she's doing as it seems to be working for her.
We are all still learning about Covid19 as some people appear to get it easier than others.
No doubt we'll all be still debating this subject over the years that follow.
Glad you are feeling more upbeat though.
Cheers.
A very happy new year to you daveh121 and good to catch up with your latest news. What a blessing that your vulnerable mum didn't get covid19 after all, but that must have been a quite tense time for you all. I hope you'll all continue to stay safe and well as we try to beat this really horrible virus which has caused us all so much unpleasantness.
Been a long time since you’ve posted and it’s good to hear from you! So glad your mother is ok and everything turned out. Some elders are just amazing and she appears to be one of them! Hopefully this year will be better for everyone.
Hi dave and a Happy New Year to you and yours. What a worrying time that must have been for you all but so good that your mum was and is OK - what a fantastic age - and everything is back to normal. Yes, that cat bed is a little small isn't it 😁 but he looks determined bless him! Hope this year holds far better things for us all than the last year did. xx
Well you've had a bit of a time of it, what a worry for you but I'm so glad it all turned out well. By the way, a happy new year to you and this will be a much better one. I love the photo of your son's dog, he's lovely.
I wish I know what the secret is. Good food, exercise, good outlook on life? Who knows.
She never had a driver’s license. Rode her bike or walked where she needed to go. At around 89 she broke her hip and the doc suggested to her it was ok if she didn’t ride her bike anymore. She said why should I stop now?
