I also made one that resembles our barn (with open doors). It was too rough to post but it was a first try, so satisfying to play with. Hey, 30 cents worth of paint and paper is cheap entertainment.

That's really good, the birds will certainly be pleased to see it and will enjoy the contents. Well done! We put out several different food items for birds and have done for many years now, it can become quite expensive particularly in the breeding season and when it gets really cold but it's worth it to see them. xx
it can. I have some bird seed and mix it up with crisco (lard or peanut butter work) and little balls of it work much better for me at keeping the seeds in the feeders, at least for winter
Good idea. We put a variety of seed out in a big tray about 3" - 4" deep - stops it being blown away, also suet pieces and dried mealworms, we have peanut feeders too. In the winter, we also put out balls of suet (bought ready in big tubs) in a feeder. The squirrels tend to take a lot of it all though and if we didn't chase them off occasionally, they would eat it all. xx
It is Wallowa, and that looks like a good prototype! Hope you crack it! 👍
I think it will be simpler next time!
That looks really good. I wouldn't have thought of that.
I'd like to try that. What material did you use for the roof?
