Dear All,

Today is 75 years, since The end of World War Two and 102 years since The Great War- the War To End All Wars- ended.

I watched the Cenotaph Commemorations, whilst holding my Tower Of London Poppy... it is one, from the 'Blood Swept Lands And Seas Of Red' by Paul Cummings. The Instillation 'Marked' a hundred years after 'The Beginning Of The Great War', it seemed Very Appropriate for me to hold this Beautiful Object, as I watched the 'Commemorations' of it's End. What a Pity that Covid, has 'Robbed' us all, of a Joyous Celebration! Will you all, join me, in a Simple Prayer....

Jesus, Lord of All, bless your Children with your Holy Love as we Battle a New Foe, every bit as Deadly, as the one we Remember Today. My our Strength be as Unending, may our Fortitude be as Resolute and may our Faith be as Unwavering, Amen.

Yes i to watched the Cenotaph service and although very solemn and dignified i felt it to be more moving than ever, and Her Majesty did us proud, she is an inspiration.

Yes I i watched it as well and even more poignant this year as we are fighting an unknown enemy. Here's respect to all those who fought and provided a service (my mum was a Welder) in both World Wars.

Thank you for that. I think many of us are more contemplative this year than some previous years. The Cenotaph was incredible this year as we did not have the multitudes to distract us from the essence. Well done to all involved

One of the oldest veterans present said what an extra privilege it was to be chosen to attend what was a very scaled down event and I thought it was very humbling that he had made the limited parade into a positive.

What a fine prayer AndrewT. I wish my country was more aware of the significance of Memorial Day. Our school system doesn’t teach history like it should.
