My daft cat

β€’18 Replies

Believe it or not we put filtered water into our cat's bowl as he doesn't like tap water (neither do I like tap water) but even that's not good enough, it has to be rain water.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Here he is drinking out of a bucket in our garden.

Good morning, lol all the cats I've ever had have been the same I have found pixie drinking out of puddles I worry he hasn't had enough to drink so I sneak tap water in things like chicken and fish he will drink it that way, I read cats don't need a lot and the can food has jelly in that I get. I think they have a inner sense that tap water isn't the purest they do have a very keen smell and taiste but then so do dogs yet they drink it I guess it's just a cats thing 😸your cats lovely I used to have a black one. Did you order a s a d lamp yet I got one on offer from Lloyds pharmacy online 52 pound on offer beurer 1o,ooo lumens beurer TL 41 that brand is medically certified they have to be at least 1o,ooo , I quite cute doesn't look out of place I read some are too big, it says on instructions not for people with eye disorders or certain meds or skin sensitivity, I felt better just for sitting by it the light was uplfting like the sun coming out i did half hour this morning 🌞hoping to get a good walk out today πŸŒ„

My cat has biscuits so he does need the water. If it's been dry and there isn't a bucket of water he will hunt around for the smallest puddle he can find, he's so funny.

Yes they do have an excellent sense of smell and that's a good way to get your cat drinking tap water.

Thank you. The other cats we had we a tabby, black and white and a tortoise shell splash white.

I haven't yet but that is a good price, thank you for sharing.

I will have a look thank you.

Hope you managed to get out.

Alicia 🌈😊

A lovely photo of the cat. I think I’d prefer rain water to tap water any day of the week. Obviously a wise owl. πŸ˜†πŸ˜ΊπŸŒΈ

Thank you Bobby and I totally agree, that's why I have filtered, I really don't like water straight from the tap.🐈😻

Oh gosh Alicia, cats can be such connoisseurs of water, can't they. I think it's their champagne. Lots will only drink flowing water and others love to drink from the toilet bowl or direct from a tap. Kasar's not fussy, but my daughter's British blue also takes the biscuit. My daughter went to the trouble of providing a water fountain which was acceptable at first but now the little darling is demanding filtered and chilled water from the fridge. I wish I could show you the commotion that happens when she wants another drink!

Your picture is so funny and just shows how important the right water is to lots of cats! 😼😸

Oh they really can Sue and my daughter's kitten who's now 6 months drinks from the toilet bowl, they have to remember to shut the toilet doorπŸ˜‚. It's good that Kasar's not fussy but as for your daughter's cat well providing a fountain, now that really us taking the biscuit. Think you're going to have to get your daughter to film her and send it to you so you can share it, I'd love to see it.

He is a funny cat, he certainly has his way of doing things, he's called Dave, the vet practice where my eldest daughter worked about 12.5 years named him, he was a stray and about 6 months old at the time.🐈🐈

When they had an Agricultural Show in Central London, the pigs would not drink the stuff they call "tap water" so they had to use spring water... I think it came for Harrods' well!

Oh how funny animals are aren't they. The spring water must have tasted good as it was from HarrodsπŸ˜‰

That's brilliant Alicia!! πŸ‘Xxxxβ€οΈπŸŒˆπŸ’œπŸ’ž

Oh that is so funny! The picture really made me laugh. He reminds me of my rabbit. He will only eat kale from M&S.

Of course.

Sometimes, it seems that my cat doesn't care where she will drink water from.
