Hi all
Here's the sketch my dad drew many years ago of our cat who was called Tibbs, she was a lovely long haired tabby and she was gorgeous. My daughter is the safe keeper of this one.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love cats anyway. This one is pzrticularly beautiful. Isn't it strange how this drawing skill of your dad's passed one generation (you), and is now the inherited skill of your daughter. Amazing!

I've always been brought up with cats and dogs and I have a 13 year old fat boy called Dave. He's a big cat and is purring on his daddy's lap at the moment.
Yes, the skill passed me and my daughter inherited it. 🌈😊🙏

I love tabbies as well and she was a lovely cat. Our black 13 year old cat is a big boy.

I totally agree with you as we had two rescued tom cats when we first got married and then a female cat and the tom we have now and the males are definitely more amenable.

Good morning. What a gorgeous sketch.
We have an adopted cat who visits us daily and appears to live in our garden. She is long haired and gorgeous, she loves a cuddle. 😊xxx

I used to “dabble” when I was much younger, mostly pencil & some oil. My son wasn’t born with that “magical” star but my Grandson (Who is Autistic) not only is artistic but musical! But, he has to be “in the mood”.

I've never drawn, only coloured when I was a child, jigsaw were my thing.
Your grandson sounds talented and I bet he creates some art when he's in the right frame of mind to do so. Autistic people can be exceptional in what they do.😊🌈🙏

Wow! That is beautiful. What a talent he had. I love all these cat drawings, paintings and funny pictures. Life is better with a cat, though sadly I haven't got one now but I have had lots in my time. Both my sons have cats so that is lovely. x

It was a good final on wednesday night - A woman called Clare who likes all things 40s & has her hair in 40s style won - she was great & very consistent in everything

Its a time travel comedy where the character of Gary Sparrow walks down a back street in London called Ducketts passage & finds himself in wartime London .its good .I bought the box set. His mate not only is his best mate but his link to the past -because he gives Gary little snippets of information that happens in the past

My painting is in a church - I don’t know how to show it online , but I love this portrayal, and I wonder was your dad trained ? If not he had or has the most wonderful talent. I’ve been so lazy since I’ve been so unwell, but this has made me see that I must start painting again. You’ll know from my profile that I’ve fought cancer - many years ago - but have quadroparesis as a result plus a severe spinal injury. It is a degenerative spastic condition, but nothing is wrong with the hand which holds the brush. I just lost all inspiration- this inspired me again. The GCA didn’t help.

I love churches and I can imagine what your painting looks like. My dad wasn't trained, it was natural.
You can take a photo of it using your phone and use the add photo blue bar at the bottom of your post.
It's got nothing with you being lazy when you've been seriously ill I should imagine you lost your impetus which is hardly surprising. Don't be hard on yourself, you've gone through and are still going through a lot.
I'm so pleased you feel like painting again.

It you go to the very top of this page you will see a blue 'write' bar, click on that, write your post and then go to the bottom of your post and you will see add photo. Click on the add photo and then it will take you to your files where you've saved your photo, that's on your phone. If using a PC you choose the relevant folder.
