This morning I went for a short hike. This afternoon I did start a new course on FutureLearn, and then I showered and cooked my dinner. In between I did some reading on my iPhone and had a quiet day at home. I also picked up my new printer at lunchtime too. I also had to call a sleep medicine doctor but had no luck trying to contact him however. I will try again via email tomorrow.

I'm so pleased that nearly all of the charity shops are open, that's good as they do need to start recouping their losses, it's been so hard for charities.

I've been out on my bike, washing the floors, had lunch, went shopping, popped up the doctors to get my prescription, spoke to my daughter and been clearing emails.

Have a lovely evening.

Hi Jennymary, yes, I've noticed some of the charity shops open today. I've been out getting my mum some washable face coverings, I pick up a few things for myself while I was out. I got a big thick ribbon to make a big bow to tie around the new bike I bought the granddaughter for her birthday a week Saturday. Took the hounds out, they go out every day. Did the chores earlier on. Have a nice evening. 😊🌼

Future learn, job hunting, met my friend in the park for a walk and a sit down and a drink and a cheeky mint cornetto, watched cocktail and top gun on DVD which I really enjoyed.

Hi Jennymary, glad to hear you managed to offload some things at the charity shop. You sound as if you are doing better than we are. Not many of ours are open and of those only one is taking donations at the moment. What annoys me are the people who still dump donations outside the doors which are then rifled through and the remains scattered to become an eyesore on the street.

I've had a fairly quiet day catching up on some long overdue chores and I've just been online to look for a new armchair but nothing's really standing out at the moment. Hope you've enjoyed your evening. 👍🙏

Hi, I’ve been out this morning for the first time since mid March as I’m shielded, I walked to the dentist, only ten minutes away but it was out! Surprised how wary I am of passing people, I’m a chronic asthmatic so find I can only wear a mask for a short time so can’t wear it in the street.

It’s a whole new learning curve about where to stand, have your temperature taken, sanitise your hands, got it wrong several times this morning.

Had to fill all the forms in on line, never knew you could sign something on the computer. If nothing else this situation has forced me to learn new things, online banking, New smart phone, Zoom, Team Viewer, WhatsApp, Skype.

Online shopping is a whole new experience, I must have got to the top of the shielding list as I’ve had invitations to register for 6 different supermarkets this week.

I’ve got a new online WEA art class this afternoon.
