I did the housework with hubby this morning and then went out for a walk late morning into the afternoon. Our forecast here for today was showers, possibly heavy at times but I only had one shower whilst out and I was in the woods at the time so didn't get wet, by the time I got out of the woods it was sunny again, I was pleased about that.
I hope you like the photos.
I did 18611 steps today.

What some lovely lush countryside Alicia. Walking there must be so renewing! Glad you had such a lovely one, and that's a lot of steps! 👍😊

Thank you Hidden , it was a lovely walk, I so love the countryside, we are so fortunate in this country with the amount of countryside we have.
Yes, I was pleased with my steps.

Thank you Jerry, I do love the estuary, it's very pretty there and of course I love the woods, you see so many different things in woods and here the different birds.
It's so wonderful having so much countryside around you and so many lovely scenes to photograph. That amount of steps converts into quite a few miles I think. So glad you enjoyed it. 🌼😊🌈
Thank you Bobby and it really is, I love the countryside. Yes I was pleased with the amount of steps, more than I thought it would be. You just can't best the British countryside.
Thank you Matty. I was due to do a 26 mile fast walk across the Derbyshire Dales but unfortunately it was due to take place in May so has been moved to next year. I was also due to take part in another 26 miler in August but I've sadly had to pull out as my foot isn't ready - I damaged it jogging and there's no way I'd be able to walk the 26 miles without damaging it further. I also would love to cycle the Lands End to John O' Groats but need to look at ways to do it that will be cost effective.
I've done 2 powerwalk half marathons and 6 powerwalk marathons I have to say I always feel nervous at the beginning but as soon as I put one foot in front of the other I'm absolutely find. Well done to you, what are you doing?
Crikey honey, you definitely don't do things in a small way! I'm doing 1,000,000 steps over 3 months (roughly 10,000 a day) for a charity. Then in September, cycling 250 miles. Wish me luck 🏃🚵👌
I do love walking and cycling. Hey well done, that's amazing. Good luck for the cycle ride in September, that'll be great. All the challenges I've done have been for charity so it's amazing on how much is raised for the organisations.
Hi, were do you live, I need to live there ,get some sanity back,it's looks glorious so peaceful, and you must be feeling very fit with all these steps you are taking, I will do a deal with you, I will swop you a bit of seaside for a lot of countryside (lol)🌝🌝
I live in the South Hams on the edge of Plymouth right on the coast. My favourite definitely is the countryside for sure rather than the sea but I feel very fortunate as I have both right on my doorstep, what's not to love.
What part of the coast do you live then?
I love feeling fit, heavens help my hubby if I ever have to stop, I'll be a nightmare LOL.
Hi, I live in Southend on sea, not by choice, a long story, I used to live in Nottinghamshire, and often went to Derbyshire to walk and be in the glorious countryside, I used to think ,when I retire I'm going to live there, but fate had a say in this, when I gave birth to my one and only child something else decided to come out with her, it was MS, so that put paid to that.
So I have made my garden my sanctuary, and love spending time with the birds I feed and watching my flowers grow, it doesn't take much to please me 🌝🌝 then last year I had a blood test and the doctor told me my thyroid was playing up, I didn't think much about it ,but once on the levo I began to feel really ill, the doc didn't want to know so it help yourself time,so I did, but still not feeling right, but anyway keep walking and going to see your lovely countryside, take care in these difficult times x
I couldn't agree more with you regarding Derbyshire, it's beautiful and we holiday there every year now, such beautiful countryside. I'm so sorry you have MS, I really do feel for you and wish there was something that could cure it.
Isn't it lovely having a garden and listening and watching the birds, we have feeders in our garden as well and they give so much pleasure watching them. Flowers are beautiful this time of year.
Oh no, I'm so sorry your doctor doesn't want to know, are you able to change doctors/get a second opinion? You shouldn't have to feel like that.
Hi, thank you for replying, I did gonna bit, but you have to make the most of what you have and I'm quite happy now , I will think of you each summer when you go to Derbyshire and know you are having a great time ,take care xx
Thursday was 33 deg here and pollen count so high I had no voice, eyes sore nose blocked felt yuk, neighbour had to walk Archie for me and I went out with him at 8pm when cooled down. Fri, Sat and Sunday windy and rainy though as was today and I've even had to put heating on for an hour at teatimr
Started off very grey here and when i was hanging my bedding out to dry thought it's going to rain but.hoped it would blow over and with wind knew would dry quickly, hopefully before rained but never did and around 5 came really close and took Archie out in just a tee shirt......and leggings of course LOL
We've had loads of rain today and thick fog. Well done with your washing, mine ended up on the dryer, there rain didn't stop until the afternoon. Ah, bet you needed to run to keep warm 😂😂
It's been muggy here today. I got my towels hung out and dry so that's good, was making my lunch came really black run out and got them in just in time and it rained for a whole 5 mins!!!
No it's not and yes especially nice as was towels and much better dried outside and yesterday got bedding dry, though i might have mentioned that yesterday!!
Yes you are right but I have to say I like the convenience and we've had the one we've got for years now. What I do like about them is that the towels are lovely and soft when they come out of a dryer.
