Here I am, Very HOT and Wide Awake, once again.....
Our Evening Social Group, Get Together, Meet Up.... whatever we call it.... is now, without doubt, Growing in size. Tonight- apart from Val, Sue, myself and Leanne- we had Both Matts, (one lives upstairs one down) and Bernie. Leanne's partner Sean was, as useual watching the Football. (He would watch Football 38 hours a DAY, if he could.) Sue, as always, was rather 'in a world of her own' periodically comming 'Back', to talk about her Hamster- or her Upcomming Zoo trip.
Upstairs Matt, who I don't 'Know', turned out to be a 'Perfect Gent.', whilst Downstairs Matt- a fellow Christian- thanked me, for the Birthday poem I put under his Door yesterday.
I have been, since I've been up, trying to find a suitable 'Diffuser' for my Powerful Torch. A Wide Mouthed 'longlife' milk bottle, after a good clean... and I'm 'There' Success. (If I hadn't Slipped, with the Sharp knife, I wouldn't have a cut on my Palm either!) I made a 'Cross', in the Lid, and then pulled the Torch's holding Strings through it..... Just what the Doctor ordered (apart from my hand, that is).
Once we were Settled I bought some Strawberries down, for myself and Sue, no-one else wanted any.... all the more for us!
We Are, quite actively, trying to increase, thesize, of our- I've decided- 'Evening Social Group'. The next 'Target' is probably Darren, followed by Lisa. Bernie is going to 'Work' on a few more.
I took my Leave, at about Ten, along with some Others- leaving the Girls talking. Just though I'd Share this.

Your little Friday night get together' s sound really nice. It sounds like no one will be wanting to miss out on this weekly social event. 👍😊
Another lovely social event for you AndrewT. It's really good that others have joined in. Do be careful with your modifications though! You don't want or need another trip to A&E. Thanks for sharing your evening with us, and have a good weekend now! 😊
I Only have a tiny 'Nick', it might be fairly Deep mind..... yes, I'll TRY to be careful- in future though. Still, at least, I know that my Knife is SHARP😬.

You obviously have fab neighbours and a nice community I'm afraid where I am is different dispite it been a fairly new nice private housing estate,we have a young couple that party every Fri and sat Eve into the small wee hours of the night and a bloke opposite that refuses to ever crack a smile and snaps if he thinks we are stepping on a inch of his grass whilst accessing the garage areas !!!
Yes, I DO like inthe UK, on the East Coast actually. I'm in 'Supported Living', which means there is 'someone available' at ALL times. My neighbours are are a diverse 'lot', with differing 'Needs', some needing- what is know as- 'Personal Care', again to differing degrees. Others of us, like myself, only need 'Support' when out- which is Fine by me, I 'get on' with our Staff 'quite well' generally speaking.
The Outside Community has just 'sort of' Happened, over the last few months..... Boosted recently by Val putting up a gazeboo (I'm not sure if that's right??). No-one has been 'Down', for the last few days.... it's been too windy. There is an 'Ouside' storage area, within our 'gated garden area' that is- now fairly certain- to be roofed over, fairly soon. It won't be Air tight but it will Protect, from the rain. There are some Automatic lights, I might try to get them 'Moved/ Changed' to manual ones, then it Should be good. IF, and it might be a bif 'if', I can have 'Power' put on I have a set of Colour Changing 'Rope lights' I wouldn't mind putting out there. (I can take them down, using Battery....but they are Very 'Heavy' on them.) Perhaps I'll ask for a USB outlet- that would be ideal and could be easily 'Spured' off the, existing Lighing Circuit.
So yes, I guess your right, I AM lucky to have 'Sociable' Neighbours- our next Target is, the 'rather reclusive', Lisa- who lives next door to me. (the 'key' might be to get her Mum, or Dad, to accept our Invitation- for them BOTH.)
Quite what, apart from Snowmen, we will 'Do' in the winter Months......
What fun. I envy you your social life. Gives you something to think about since you can't sleep. I give up at 2:00 AM do a little housework and have a cup of chamomile tea.
Chamomile Tea sounds 'nice' (Aaaaarghh Andrew.... NICE....!). Wasn't there a book/ play- possible film- called The Chamomile Lawn? I 'half' remember it, from my litrature days.
Do you have a communal lounge where you could try a beetle drive or a darts evening? My mother lived in sheltered housing and she had a better social life than I had!
No that is one 'thing' we Don't have, a great Shame. Apparently it's due, in part anyway, to us being 'Supported Living', as opposed to 'Sheltered Living'... or Something! Mind you, with a bit of Willingness/ co- operation, you never know....
We WILL keep 'trying'...

My mother lived in a CESSAC community and they had just a house manager. They formed a social committee and organised it themselves
