Deliverance at last

Even in the UK, even when we do not have a pandemic, it gets more difficult to buy healthy food... and finding breakfast "cereal" that is oat, wheat and gluten free gets more difficult.

They have given up stocking it in the local mini-supermarket... They stock it at Waitrose - but that is ten miles and a half-hour queue away.

But I found a website... and a delivery slot... and got 20 packets this morning.

There is a minimum order value (for free delivery), and it comes in boxes of five packets, so 15 boxes would be enough for next time - and, it seems, you have to book a delivery slot a fortnight in advance... so this leads to some not too complicated mathematics...

If the cupboard holds 20 packets, the minimum order is 15 packets, I have to book a delivery slot a fortnight in advance and each packet lasts two days... to avoid over-stocking, the earliest I can re-order will be when I have 12 packets left in the cupboard?

I make my own oat, wheat and gluten free muesli.

In a cereal bowl put:

2 level dessertspoons of buckwheat flakes (this is a seed not wheat)

Half a level teaspoon of milled flaxseed

A good pinch of ginger or cinnamon

2 chopped dates

1 dessertspoon of sultanas

1 Level dessertspoon of sunflower seeds

1 level dessertspoon of pumpkin seeds

Sometimes I add some ground chia seeds (I ground them myself). Everything I use is organic and bought from a small private health shop in my town.

I pour on lactose free milk, put it in the microwave for 2 mins, take out and stir and add more milk if needed then pop it back for another minute.

Extravagant I know, but I don't drink or smoke.
