Click the white title "The White Cliffs of Dover - Vera Lynn (1942)". It should link you there.

Got it! Thanks. It is a beautifully sung song with wonderful words. It is actually, one of the most poignant songs I know. It is perfect for that particular time but never fails to shine and make an impact today.

All the way across the pond, it doesn't matter. It touches my heart, it makes me cry, it soothes me.

Where are you then? It's nice to know a little more about our members.

I'm in the U.S. First quarantine. Now useless curfews, police in riot gear every night. It's frightening here. My husband is just getting over double pneumonia, and he will be returning to work -- what! -- this week. This gradual lifting of social isolation seems to me a big experiment: let's wait a couple weeks and see how much worse it gets. Whilst next door, downtown is on fire.

Now you know a little more, but I'm not sure how "nice" it is.

We have to make it through the madness somehow, but how?

Oh my dear, you are right, times are very worrying at the moment and you appear to be in a very frightening situation where you live. Our world is in turmoil and we don't know what will happen next.

How can your husband go back to work so soon? He is wide open to catching the virus after having pneumonia. I can only send you a hug and my best wishesxand hope some order will soon be back in our lives.

Thinking of you across the miles.

He is a guy you know. If I hadn't dragged him to the ER he would have just sat around until we needed an ambulance.

Don't I know it. I would keep him home, but he doesn't listen to me. He's fine, thank you very much.

Feeling very comforted by all the beautiful hearts and xxxs. I thank you.

I am touched. Opening new conversations is not my forté, but I can respond with the best of them. Sometimes I have to be told enough, already! Reach out any time. I'm usually right here.
