A shortish but steep ride today. Short due to possible thunderstorms which I was able to avoid. Monday should bring a nice 40 mile ride.
This is a photo of an early miner/rancher house in the Sierra Foothills. Somehow it looks like it was the perfect house for a couple or family. I can envision the life and activities it once held.
These relics are typical around here.
It is for sale with a lot of acreage. It might need more than a new coat of paint and welcome mat though.

It is nice to see these things, I often think about the people who lived in places like this when they where in good repair and the type of lifestyle they might of had. History is a wonderful thing. 🏡
Hi daveh121, I just love coming across little bits of social history and I too can imagine the lifestyle of its once inhabitants. You know what? I'd be up for the task of reconstructing a similar home in such a fantastic location. Simple, but adequate! Thanks for sharing that!
And glad you enjoyed your ride. 🌈
Now a 40 mile ride sounds awesome, I hope the weather plays fair for you on Monday.
How interesting about the building, you certainly do have interesting relics where you are, makes exercise far more interesting.
