My room...

I recently talked to my therapist who suggested I clean, and reorganize my room to reduce stress and induce positive vibes. I already have painting I made on my walls and books on shelf’s and stuff but I am super messy. My room is small and I took out my bed to sleep on a queen sized mattress on the floor. Any suggestions for room decor?

Have a look at what the calming colours are, I think green is one of them. We've got a picture of Unicorn on our wall and it's very calming.

Can't think of anything else at present.

Best of luck with the decorating, it does feel good when it's done.

Get a landscape for one wall. You can get wall paper with Forrest scenes, beach scenes, city scenes and so on. Or if you're any good at painting, do some wall art yourself. You can buy trendy cardboard or plastic boxes to put your things in to tidy it up. These then just stack giving yourself more room. 😊🌷🌼

I agree that changing things round does give you a boost. Things get boring over time. The only thing I can add to others comments is don't do anything that can't easily be changed again. If you are anything like me it won't be long before you want to change things again. 😊Oh! Just thought of another. If your room is really messy and you have the room to do this, the easiest way is to empty the room completely and only put back what you really need or want. You will be amazed at how much rubbish you have amassed and you have room for new or different things. x

In the hospitals I worked at green and lilac were very popular for our elderly and mental health wards/rooms. Best of luck ❤️🌈

My room is an earthy green since I was a baby courtesy of my mother.

For calm, try a Buddha statue, or picture, large or small. You don't have to be a Buddhist to feel the benefit. They are used in home decor lots, as they represent peace and calm. The major thing to have though is determination to keep your room uncluttered and unmessy. Being organised can also give a great sense of calm and order. Best of luck with your new design! 🌺

Well my father gave me a beautiful jade Confucius statue for my birthday last year and I put that on my right night stand. Thank you for your wonderful advice.

Hello SCSA

Why did you take your bed out and just leave queen size mattress? I would have left the bed in room to hide stuff under. :)
