So just on midnight my two labradors demanded a short walk, all the horror films I’ve ever watched filled my mind and I saw things in every shadow. But strengthened by the dogs, both of whom would have run a mile in the opposite direction, and the accompaniment of my daughter, whom I can outrun, off we set

Hi Rowing58,
Yes, that pic does look a bit scary and full of menace, but sometimes needs must, even though your labradors sound like most of them and would run a mile from trouble! Glad to hear you got home safely!
It's funny that the darkness and the present times presented such a frightening picture for when I was at boarding at 13 I used to get out at nights as it was the only way I managed to survive and there were few light and certainly no people as it was in Frinton on Sea and a quiet place in those days, so I would have to walk down the centre of the road so I didn't bump into anything as I couldn't see anything and one day I all but fell over a dog happily sleeping in the middle of the road for the tarmac and paving have differ feelings and are warm from the day. I used to walk bare foot and if a car did come near I used to jump into a front garden and I felt I owned the world for know one knew I was there and it was one of the happiest times of my life. later I used to go and see friends and even into their house to make them and go out and one boy used to tie a string to his toe that we had to pull so he could then leave the house. So the dark can like any picture be what you see it at the time. But you went despite your fears anyway and no doubt will again.
I love the picture. 😊😊
I often walk at night but it depends on where you are as to how safe you feel. I certainly wouldn't where I used to live! My hound too would be useless as indeed my old Labrador would have been.....at least at night nobody is going to cough on you!!
I love that the worry is being coughed on! Hysterical!
That is one eerie picture. Fab!
Spooky! 💀👽👾💩 (sorry couldn't resist).
I’m a big wuss when it comes to horror movies after being scared s#£@&£#s as a teenager watching Salem’s Lot by myself when the rest of the family were away.
I don’t go walking there too late by myself.
To make it worse, it’s open wooded fields on either side, pitch black. I’ve often shone a torch each way to see how many sets of eyes are watching. Curse those foxes...
