No. I believe the world as a whole will change but you will see crime rising faster than ever, high unemployment, people losing homes and businesses, the list is endless because of the devastating impact of Covid19 on the wholewide world. To believe otherwise you would need to be looking at the world with rose tinted glasses on. Good question Longsider, will be interesting to see others responses to it. Warm wishes, tina.x🤗

Hi Tina, good points you raise on the subject, personally I hope for the best that it brings communities together and peace . Clive X 🤗

We can only hope Clive but already in my surrounding area in less than a week, we've had a murder and 2 standoffs with armed police,1 lasting 16 hours and thats all during the so called 'lockdown' when people should have remained indoors. I'm a pretty positive person but i'm also a realist. Warm wishes, tina.x🤗

Will it ever leave us. Until we get an anti dote I cannot see it happening. On a positive note I am thinking pretty crochet flowers on face masks. Will the fibres of the yarn catch the little sods. Oh dear now I've got myself puzzling again. Definitely calls for more coffee and biscuits

I'd like to say yes and I think some aspects will but unfortunately there will always be some selfish people in the world. It would be great if all the fighting would stop

in reply toCraftyperson

That's what I was wanting to happen the disappearance of selfish gits but then thought about it and came to realise that there will always be selfish gits around no matter what the circumstances of the world are.

Good question - and so many elements to it !!

Will the CV pandemic have a permanent effect - I think for some good time, until there is protection from it. I think for some foreseeable time our interactions and daily ways may be effected with an awareness of possible infection spread, but with the hope that will be less in due course when vaccines are available. The economic effects will be strong, an unknown quantity at the moment and I guess for now we cannot envisage too far ahead as we just don't know, but as others have said, effected we will be, but can only take each day as it comes. And yet wonderful elements of human nature have come to the fore in communities and friendships, not usually seen or having time for in our usual ratrace lives, I would like to think that may stay and we can appreciate each other more, let alone the selfless elements of society who have been in the frontline of the NHS and other care areas. It shows what qualities can come out in human life when a strong motivation is there. And for many stepping out of the ratrace for a time has enabled revaluation of what is actually important in life, and is a bit of a surprise as it may not always be what we were chasing after a few months ago - will that change some perspectives on life? But we have seen sad things through this pandemic and would wish for better days ahead for planet earth. I know I have my reset button out in my back garden, see the plants continuing to bud, the birds nesting, the bees arriving, I think all life is continuing on in just the way it was designed to be and as it has "since time" - and yet look at the conditions all around the world and I think was this really the purpose it was intended for ?? Well that's my musing for the morning !! Good subject - look forward to seeing others thoughts.

Trying to think positively, on the positivity forum - how could it benefit us?

Short-term, it seems to have had a beneficial effect on hypochondria - but non-covid deaths have massively increased - so, it seems, going to hospital can be beneficial. Will we continue to use the NHS less?

The NHS has been a problem for years, as it costs us so much - can we make it more cost-effective?

They are beginning to realise the possible benefits of research - they have developed methods for producing vaccines more quickly ...and they are intelligently doing proper trials for medicines that might cure or treat Covid.

When and if they work out that junk food, the SAD diet, obesity, metabolic syndrome and hyperinsulinaemia make you susceptible to Covid-19, and (Intermittent) Fasting (IF) and the Low-Carbohydrate High-Fat (LCHF) diet help your immune system and protects you from it, they might tax the manufacturers of refined carbohydrates out of existence - and massively decrease diabetes and most non-communicable disease?

I think things will be done differently, some for the better and some things we might not like but will have to get use too. 🤔😊

Not permanently Longsider. I believe we have a permanent new understanding that we are not safe. We never were but now we know it. But gradually greed and world competitiveness will return. Ruthlessness in forging ahead will not go away.

Yes, in some ways but what about the people who ignore orders to stay at home, I think these people could spoil things. Take care and stay safe

I sure hope so. This world was in need of change for the better. The Lord said if we turn from our wicked ways He will heal our land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Lord knows we need healing.

I myself have formed some great habits that I plan to continue even after this pandemic has passed.

Nice verse Careyon - I am one that loves the Bible but didn't know this one so thanks for sharing it!! One for me is Jeremiah 29 : 11 “‘For I well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward you,’ declares Jehovah, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope. 😀😀
