Hi , I would just like somewhere to sit on a warm beach where it's quite and reflect on this year and look forward to being able to do things like before. x
That is a good idea as I have read that the UK could be in lock down until 2021 but we are all praying that we have a vaccination or a cure very soon

Hi Longsider, That seems like a sound decision. We aren't even clear whether any holidays will be possible this year and I think it would be a bit silly to be under the apprehension that foreign travel will be possible, for ages. It's a good plan to think of something nice in the way of a holiday for next year. Maybe stick to a home country destination and not to book anything until a clear way forward has been found with regard to COVID19. But a holiday is something we can all dream of, and plan for when times are better. Take care. 🙏

Hi Callendersgal, I think you are right about foreign travel for the moment , but we will see what is available next year , but going off the replys everywhere is going to be busy 😂
I think many of us are writing this year off - and hoping that they have a roof over their heads next year.

I know where you are coming from , but if our grandparents can get through the war I think we will overcome this virus , it won't be easy but we will . I'm just looking forward as I have had it tough like most of us have with one thing or another . You have to set some kind of goals . x

Yes this year is definitely a write off for making plans.
I'd was hoping to go somewhere this year maybe .
So looks like we will all be going next year, everywhere will be so busy!
I like to have something to look forward to and would love to do another cruise especially round Italy.
Although I've been put off cruises a bit at the moment ☹
Hopefully we will all feel well enough to do something nice next year.

That sounds like a very good idea as this year is unknown and there's no guarantee that you would be able to travel in 2020.

That's a great idea, I will not write it off more log it as a leaning curve. I think once we have time back with our family and friends, holidays are something wonderful to be thinking about. 😊😊

Longsider, you can come to Albania. Where I am right now it's quiet, sunny, warm and no Corona so far. I love it here. I hope I can retire here in the future. You're welcome to come and stay. X

Yes, you read that right. Work woes. 🖥️
I don't think I'll ever go on holiday 🏖️ again, given that I've got treatment 🌡️every three weeks and awful days in-between, have Mum 👵🏻 to look after at home, a diabetic dog 🐶who needs injections 💉and monitoring 👁️through the day, a business 🖥️ that looks like it needs an overhaul (or putting to bed 🛏️completely) and severe homesickness whenever I do go away.
I had to go to San Francisco 🌎 (on work 🙄🙄) a couple of years ago for a month (with Paul 🧔🏻 and my daughter 👩👧stepping in to look after said Mum 👵🏻 and 🐶) and I swore then I'd never go away again.
Illness 🤕 and circumstances took the choice away from me in the end. 🔮
I don't think holidays are going to be possible this year. We had booked a cruise for a week in April but of course it was cancelled. We had also hoped to have a longer cruise in the autumn. We didn't have a holiday last year because I was waiting for a major operation and we didn't know when I would be called in for it and how long it would take to recover from it.
We didn't have one the year before because we were having an extension built, so we were planning to have several holidays and really enjoy ourselves this year.
Still, the most important thing is that we all keep safe and well. Won't it be wonderful when we can go on holiday and have days out again etc.

With regard to holidays for this year we decided to save ourselves the upset and not bother but perhaps in the future its something to look forward to but not for a while yet.
