As a family we have a group chat going on and are tasked with doing something each week. This week was write a poem about Coronavirus. Thought I would share here..... Picture attached.....

CORONAVIRUS POEM

Its 2020 and getting bread isnt easy

its due to a virus that makes you wheezy

Covid19 they decided to call it

Everyone stays inside to do their bit

only once can you exercise

unless you go out and just tell lies

"this is important" i have to shop

and off they go with a jump and a hop

isolate for at least 12 weeks

but all you have are carrots and leeks

no Sainsbury slits to be seen

"the young are taking them just to be mean"

when you do go shopping you que for an hour

most things you get but still no flour

lets make a cake and do the garden.

when we are free we will have put some lard on.

no holidays for us this year

the best we can do is wish you were here

we take up painting and writing poems getting all stressy and hot

Vincent van Gogh and Pam Ayres we are not

clapping the NHS and frontline workers

banging tins and bins and even the shirkers

are saving the country by stopping in

to the Coronavirus WE ARE GOING TO WIN

when this is all over the queen will give out medals and badges to the frontline workers that did their bit

Prince Charles will say "mummy I should do that I have had IT!"
