Dear All,
Looking through, some papers, for something entirely different, I 'found' a poem, from last year. I can't remember exactly When I wrote it and, perhaps Stupidly, I didn't date it either.
You have to imagine that this is a Family Gathering (before, or after Covid19). The 'Grown Ups' are 'chatting'... Boooorrringgggg! So, the children are playing 'Hide and seek'. This child has found the 'Perfect' hiding place....
Hiding there, in the dark,
This Really is a lark,
A Perfect 'place' to hide herself,
Just be careful, of that shelf!,
Hope that, the dog, won't betray,
The 'Wonderful' place, in which she lay,
Keeping 'quiet as a mouse',
As 'they' search, the entire house,
That was 'close', they came near,
A good job Uncle Bob cannot hear,
Finally 'found' in time for tea,
With a cheer, and a whoop of glee.😋
It does perhaps need, a little, 'work' but it's not that bad- and I hope it raised a smile. More to come, I'm sure.
