Spring blossom

I'm finding painting and drawing small pictures of beautiful things in nature really helps my wellbeing.

Why don't you have a go? You don't have to be an artist or have paints. Just a pencil and a small piece of paper or card is enough. I've even cut up empty cereal boxes to use. I use photos I have taken as stimuli but you could use anything. I prefer to use lots of colour because it's cheery but pencil shading is good. There are lots of excellent simple ideas online. I'm enjoying finding items around the home and garden, (such as an old toothbrush, small sticks, leaves, lolly sticks) to print with.

Have fun and be childlike in your creativity.

I love the colors in that. Great job. xx

Oh what lovely colours Billy61. And so effective. You've really caught the delicacy of spring blossom. I agree with using what's on hand to 'have a go'. And approaching it in a childlike way is very liberating. 🌈

That's lovely, thank you for sharing. I'm just hopeless at art, can barely draw a box!

I agree, It's the journey which is important and not the end product! However, just like these simple pictures demonstrate, the end product can be surprisingly good!

😀👍👏
