Spring is definitely on its way

β€’25 Replies

Hi all

Hope your day has been good so far. I went out on a short walk with hubby this afternoon and there was some sea swell, shows we had strong winds lately.

Also, I noticed the the Hydrangea leaves have come out already and I spotted some Whitebells, now they are very early. The bottom left photo shows a bank of Snowdrops, they certainly were in abundance.

Stay safe and well.

Hi Jerry

Thank you, it was a short walk but it's amazing what you see on a short walk. Yes the sea was and there were loads of surfers in the sea. We've had a lit of wind and rain these past couple of days hence the sea.

Hope you're evening is going well

Take care and stay safe and well.

I think your white bells is something called three cornered leek. The stems are triangular and smell and taste rather like wild garlic. It is edible.

in reply to BabsyWabsy

Yes when I looked online it actually mentioned garlic. Isn't it amazing how much you can eat off the land😊

Up in Derbyshire, we had a blackbird and a chaffinch singing yesterday. There are also catkins on the alders as well as snowdrops. The daffodils are in bud

in reply to kablea

I love Blackbirds and I also live Derbyshire, we holiday there every year now. So lovely to see everything budding.πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Hello crazyfitness

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow so we have 3 more weeks of winter. It was -23 C here last week, I am ready. :)

It's not far away. My goodness, they did report the temperatures being record lows in parts of the UK. Thank goodness it's milderπŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Everything with you is very advanced as you are so much warmer. Daffs are just appearing but our big hydrangea is only in tight bud!

in reply to diana1998

That's the good thing with Devon but we are quite damp down here. Daffs have been out here for quite a while now but sounds like your Hydrangea won't be longπŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
