Highlight of the week!

Just had a FaceTime chat with son and DIL. They tell me the highlight of their week has been tidying the Tupperware cupboard. My week seemed boring in comparison!

And yours?

I guess I enjoy a lot of things each day.

Qigong

Meditation

exercise

gardening

planting seeds

and potting on

close encounters of a feathered kind.

So much is happening in the garden.

Wish I was more enthusiastic about cleaning up inside the home.

I read an article when I was first married about cleaning and it said rather than a chore look at it as home care and do it with love, thanks and gratitude. I’m not one for spending loads of time on housework but I always had a different view on it after reading that article.

Was it written by a man?

I've tried to organize my Tupper ware .but I still have a bunch of mismatched tops and bottoms. Any solutions ?

We could see if my DIL needs to swap! Did they still have Tupperware parties before the lockdown?

I don't know about Tupperware parties , it's been years since I've been to one . I use it as a generic term for any left over container.

She also found tin of pears dated 2011 at the back of cupboard which beat my 2012 oxo cubes 😱😂

I got really brutal about all my containers of a " tupperware" type. It was hard but I have put most in the recycling bin. Hubby claimed a few for the toolshed screws atc the rest take up very little space now.

Why do we keep so many things we hardly use. I do anyway.

I am desperately trying to reduce the clutter in my home.

I am finding it very hard to do this but will persevere.

So far several black sacks full for charity shop whenever they reopen but I fear they may be overwhelmed as everyone seems to be doing the same.

That did make me laugh Hylda, and it sounds mundane, but actually there's quite a pleasure in doing those jobs which you usually can't make time for. I don't think I did anything that came close to being as riveting as tidying a cupboard! I just seem to have an endless capacity for frittering time away. 😊
