Quotation for Tuesday 14th April 2020

Good morning everyone,

Todays quote is attributed to William Penn. Penn, a writer and member of the Society of Friends (Quakers), and famously founded the North American province of Pennsylvania.

Here he says:

“If you think twice, before speaking once, you will speak twice the better for it”

And that goes for all our communications, written or spoken.

Words can take seconds to open deep wounds, and years to try to heal them. They are powerful weapons.

I guess we’ve arrived back at being kind again really.

Wishing everyone a happy day today and please continue to be safe and well.

So pleasing that we have, as you say, "arrived back at being kind again." William Penn's wise words can help to keep it that way.... to help remind us to pause before saying, or writing, things that we might wish unsaid or unwritten only a few minutes later.

I think many heads of state should carry this quote on a card and keep it in their pockets.🌼🌷🌻

What an excellent quote Hidden , not truer word was spoken as words can hurt or mend. I really hope that once we are back to some kind of normality people appreciate the simple things in life more, like time with family.

Have a lovely day.

Alicia :)
