Just received the letter!

Hi everyone,

So yesterday morning after my shopping trip to the supermarket, I received a letter telling me I am 'high risk' and should self isolate! Better late than never!

I am wondering has anyone else in the UK just received the letter?

Love the help and support from this site.

Wishing everyone a happy, peaceful weekend.

Yes I have. It was Text message from NHS. I was told a letter will follow. I was so shocked as the second text message said do not even go out to the bin area.

This is my 4th week in Isolation for me as I decided to take precautions from the beginning anyway.

How is everyone out there. Keep safe.

Yes -Shocking -and I was so shocked and disappointed really because I have been going out in the bin area protected though. I live in a block of flats where we share corridors as well. So please pray for all of us here.

My hubby received his letter a few weeks ago now but he does still go out to the bin. He wears surgical gloves and takes a wipe too! He is also doing a little gardening. Other than that there are no walks or trips to the shops.

We've been in since 6th March now and coping quite well at the moment.

This is the second wave of letters that have been sent out, I believe to persons who are at risk but not quite as at risk as the folk who received their letters earlier, if that makes sense.

The best of luck to you.

Thank you Patsy, before this text message whenever I went to the bin only, will proper protect myself ( a woolly hat, gloves, a mask, a head scarf around my face, glasses). Right now I don't know what to do. It is the beginning of the 4th week now, i will have to go to the bins this is for sure.

It is obviously more difficult for you as you are in flats and there is more of a chance of you 'bumping' in to people. Try not to worry too much though. Could you take it out early in the morning or late at night when you will perhaps avoid other folks?

Stay safe and stay well.

Yes that is what I do. I go out between 5.30 and 6.30am.

That's is it for me for the day. I haven't been out at all today.

Thank you.

I heard that letters were sent in Segments if you like. Saviour cases first and then moderate cases

Yes I did wonder if there were different tiers.

I understand the problem with the bins as you live in a flat with shared corridors etc.Stay safe indoors.

Him I got my letter from the Scottish MO last Monday 30th March and apparently I am extremely vulnerable it says therefore that I MUST NOT go out at all. I think I will be in total isolation for maybe a couple of years until they have discovered an immunisation vaccine as the flu jab every year and the Pneumococcal Vaccine which is a one off against Pneumonia.

HAPPY DAYS !!! LOL

I only got my letter yesterday. Text came on Tuesday. Also had call from local council yesterday. Did get email offering priority slot from Asda last Saturday so they obviously told them before they told me. I have been isolating for 4 weeks now just going out for a walk in the afternoons as we live near fields.
