Frustrated and feeling useless...…...

Hi everyone, I'm new here today, and glad to have found this forum. I'm a Fostair inhaler user, symptoms pretty much under control, still banned from coming to work under the guidelines and getting more and more frustrated about that by the day, because I don't feel any worse than I do on a normal day?

I get that it's not about me, and it's more about limiting my exposure to catching the virus/passing it on and putting more pressure on the NHS. It doesn't stop me feeling any less useless and helpless stuck at home.

How is everyone else coping?

Definitely Jerry - thanks for the reply. Trying so hard to stay positive, stay in touch with work by dialling into the meetings every day, and I am slowly getting used to being at home. Maybe I was more stressed than I actually realised before this and it's just taking me time to "unwind"

Looking forward to seeing what everyone is up to during the lockdown anyway :-)

Hi there, it is a very difficult time a very strange time that is so different to what we know. I keep thinking too myself, well the finishing post will be in my vision at some point so until then, keeping occupied, setting goals, trying new hobbies, catching up on things around the home, most important, trying to keep positive throughout it. These few things keep the time passing by and the mind distracted. ☺☺

I think it is easier for me I am post cancer which left me with low immune and more unable to work.

I was scared and so vulnerable went into isolation 3 weeks ago this would wipe me out. I watch t.v play games on my phone I do have a garden so will be getting out their potter for short time now the better weather. I wish you well time does go so quick hopefully we can see some sort of normality sooner than later. keep safe x

I think as the time goes on I realise how stressed I was and how that anxiety was detrimentally affecting my asthma. It is much better now that I'm a good bit more chilled out and contented.

Campbellinho welcome to this forum. it is nice to meet you. this is a great site to reach out too. I like it. Sorry that you are frustrated with the quarantine. You are not alone with that. Many of us feel it too. I try to focus on "this very moment" mindset. I have what I need for right now. Then I try to focus on positive Productive energy/thoughts. it helps greatly. Take this time to do things around the home inside and outside in the yard or walk if possible. set a schedule of activities you want to do daily. it helps you get thru the ruff patches. then when you reflect back on the day... you think wow, I made it thru another day and I am ok. sending you hugs of encouragement.
