I am disabled and living in NE Iowa and rarely leave home due to my difficulty walking! My home isn't adapted well for a wheelchair and because of steps I leave in the upper part! Recently 2 wks ago my home health care workers decided to stop services because of Covid19! This has really angered me and hurt me because I need assistance! I feel more isolated and abandoned! But for sure that God hasn't left me!!

I’m disabled but I’m not in A Wheel Chair.
Hi nkotbjeymc, how are you getting along? Are you too experiencing extra difficulties. Do share what your experiences are, here, if it will help.
And meantime, please keep yourself as safe and well as you can. Very best wishes.
Are you managing your basics and is someone doing your shopping. ☺☺
Hi ironkitten,
You could probably teach most of us a thing or two about being in quarantine. This must be such an extra burden for you, and I'm so sorry to hear.
I think you are probably in good company when it comes to services being suddenly stopped due to this world crisis. It's not pleasant and throws extra challenges out to people who were finding it hard to cope in the first place.
You sound as if you are trying to stay strong, and please try not to be hurt by this seeming abandonment. The whole world is scared and unsure, and no-one is willing to take more risk than they have to, so please don't take it personally. I bet, behind the scenes, some people who care for us are actually worried that they've had to beat a hasty retreat.
It seems that you have strong faith, so lean on that, and if it will be helpful, please lean on us too. Meantime, stay safe and strong and best wishes to you.
