Hi all, just wanted to know how you are all doing back in the UK? or wherever you are? Here in Spain we are still in total lockdown, no walking , running, only allowed 50m from your house if taking the dog for a walk, twice a week to supermarkets one person per household ... We have been in lockdown 15,days now and surprisingly, it feels like the new "normal"!!! Thank goodness for social media, good neighbours and friends. Stay safe and healthy everyone 🤩

I must admit I am settling comfort into the lifestyle. As long as I can have my daily walk I’m happy. Only worry is getting supermarket deliveries. I won’t risk the shops as I have AF.

Yeah the supermarket is a bit iffy. I disinfect everything when I get home, but at least there are loads of supplies so no worries there.

Husband hasn’t had his beer delivered 😱

Hahahaha same here, you have to go early to the supermarket if you want beer 😃

I for one am doing OK. For me its total lock down. Im not allowed out because i have servere COPD. Trying to isolate in one room as my partner works at the hospital. People in tn UK, well the majority, are rallying round and taking a positive attitude. I agree where would we be without social media. Stay safe, sending Hugs your way.

Kindest regards

G

Thanks Ohtwo, stay safe and healthy too 🤩

Hi Moosey60,

Thanks for your info on how things are going in Spain. I think you are right that people are beginning to settle a bit into their new 'norm'. I think it's a little bit easier if you can let your mind surrender to it, and not fight it as being too unpleasant to cope with.

I too am managing fine, but it might be because I'm accustomed to spending quite a lot of time at home anyway. I've always said that we always spend so much time, effort (and cash), on the places we live in, that it then seems silly to want to desert them as much as we often do.

Glad to hear you sound so upbeat and I hope you'll continue to stay safe and well.

Thanks Callendersgal, Mother Nature has sent us all to our rooms to reflect on how we live, so let's do that. Stay safe and healthy 🤩

Hi Moose, Nice of you to think about your old friends back in the UK. You sound as if you are dealing with the new lifestyle pretty well. How do you spend your day? I am still enjoying the opportunity of having the time to catch up with tasks well overdue. Social media is a godsend and allows us to all keep in touch. The weather has helped too. Recently it's been lovely and a little gardening in the fresh air was so pleasurable. Amazing how we have taken things for granted. Being restricted in our activiities has made us appreciate things more.

Keep in touch.

I agree we have taken a lot of things for granted. I have caught up with loads of old friends, done lots of cleaning and organizing, played lots of board games, workout everyday online with my family in the states and in Ireland, am trying out new recipes. I am also a volunteer buying groceries for older people etc, so I keep pretty busy. I do miss not being able to go out for a run and would love to have a garden or even a little terrace, but I suppose I am luckier than most 🤩

You really do sound positive in spite of the difficulties. You are organising yourself and filling your time, you are also providing support in the area you live. All so rewarding.

I'm lucky having my daughter live in the same village as me.

We are all managing so far but it's going to be a long haul. And we will be tested in many ways. Lovely to hear from you.

Hi, Good to hear from you and that you appear to be handling it ok. I’m in lockdown and am advised not to go out at all so I know how you feel. Was gutted to start with, but the running will still be there when we get back to normal - it’ll be C25K round 2 😂. Keep safe and keep posting 😁
