Insomnia from Pandemic Anxiety

Has anyone else experienced insomnia as more and more overwhelming news gets released? I didn't realize how much the covid-19 pandemic has triggered my anxiety. Especially how its affecting so many peoples lives, employment, shelter, etc.

Logging out of social media has helped.

Anyone else surprised by how much this is affecting them mentally?

Insomnia is a nightmare. Unfortunately people with Fibromyalgia it goes with the territory. Try to get back into a regular sleep pattern as soon as you can. There are free sleep apps you can download that may help so might be worth having a look. ☺

Be positive that you are taking all the right measures to isolate yourself and try some meditation before bed to empty your mind think of the your happy place. It does become easier and the right music helps.

One lesson I learned after I had blood clots in my lungs was about living for today.

I’ve never been good at sleep anyway so doesn’t help. But I look to the positive- I did manage to get food delivery slots in the middle of the night for the next couple of weeks😊. Stay safe xx

Good things can come out of bad ones! Bad times aren't forever!
