He is nearly 7, and we have had him since he was about 15 months old.
Love it, an ex colleague of mine has got this beautiful and quiet animal, I have been told she does not hear from he T for about 6 months because of hibernation!? 😍
Ours was too small to hibernate when we got him, and, so far he has never done so, every year we look out for the signs, but, he's up and cheery all the time.
Gosh what a handsome fellow and what a wonderful shell. ( I'm unfamiliar with the Russian Horsfeld tortoise). Chomsky looks like a travelling egg carton, on first glance. I do know that tortoises are much faster than many people would believe. My sister's really dashes about the garden and also likes a kick-about with a table-tennis ball.
Hello, what a good looking fella! He looks similar to my african leopard tortoise Phibert🐢 he's still in his hibernaton mood. I check every day hoping he'll be up but no luck, now that I'm confined I need something to keep me busy my dog Lucas is sick of me. Allthough getting fresh veg and some fruits may be hard😳. Nice pic. Chris
