I love the idea of small observations in the everyday. They are there all around but are lost in the rush to in the elsewhere.

So here is me just focusing down on the small things that cheer me up in an attempt to smother the larger worries.

A snap shot of a trip to a local small town on a Grey day in middle England

I notice a large sign. "Summer is Gods idea". A few minutes latter a man in a dog collar and electric blue socks strides past. I wonder where he is going.

The young woman in the charity shop is talking to her mother on the mobile phone. It is obvious that there has been a family breavement, she ends the conversation by saying "I love you". Quite powerful that to someone who's family has never voiced it.

I make a mental note to write it if not say it.

A small boy is in charge of a lip salve. He has daubed it in hair on cheek and forehead.

May you all have small enjoyable moments today.

It still amazes me that I'm so much more aware of the smallest acts!❤ My mindset has changed dramatically since diagnosis and then the loss of my Father 😔 Life is so precious and I intend to do all the things "I want" and embrace positive thoughts and actions! Peace out!.....Much love....Ninja❤

Hi ninjanana

I think ill health slows us down and it's better to look around than look at your feet. and loosing someone that you love certainly focuses the mind on the precious nature of life. It's a miracle that we are here at all. And in real terms we are here for less than a blink of an eye. So we should bring happiness into our and others life's as much as possible.

Here's to peaceful thoughts. And spreading the love.

Ps we could start a three good things a day thread on here.

If nothing else we would be reinforcing our own well being by bringing them to mind, i read once that that support good mental health you should review all the good things that happened in the day just before going to sleep.

What a fabulous idea! "Three good things a day" 😁 Im a very positive person, but i do know how easy it is to become negative in thought and mind!😔 It then becomes very easy to never "notice" all the positive things that are happening around us! I listen to music everyday! No t.v. couch potato for me!😅 I pace myself and have become very selective in the company I keep😁. Have a FANTABULOUS DAY my friend! Peace out✌Much love.....Ninja❤

Hi ninja

I do think that it's easy to become low when listening to the news. You really do have to take proactive action to seek out the positives.

I here waiting to read a few of yours should you feel moved to share.

(Or not as the case maybe)

Have a good day

Ned

I love this post and I intend to start observing the oddities of life. I already do the gratitude thing and it is amazing how much there is to be grateful for. There is an oddity in my neighborhood. It's me walking around at night with flashlight and salt shaker hunting slugs.. Fun idea nedd. Thank you Pam

Noooooooooo

You can t zap slugs with salt, you have to gather them up and find a new home for them. I run the gauntlet past the local pub who all have a good laugh at me marching past with my haul. The land lord told me that he sees them heading for my house at midnight. I hope this is it true!

Re the observations of life.

Why don't you post a few here might encourage others to. It's so nice to read others good things when there is so much negative news.

The answer the your question.

I have a sort of natural garden. I agree they munch thier way though all sorts. Some years are worse than others. But I try to live with it. I really can't kill things.

Each to thier own.

Enjoy your garden. Other people's cats enjoy mine!

1:Smile alot!😁 I know it can be difficult to start with, but, once you start it feels good! You'd be surprised how many people react to a smile!😊😊 So....next time you're in the supermarket or walking to the Drs.....Smile!!😁😁

2: Do something daily just for yourself! Ladies, paint thoes nails🖎 try some makeup!( my motto is...."I may feel rubbish......But I refuse to look rubbish!) 💋Fellas, get a haircut, look into new hobbies, you are all important!

3: Stop beating yourself up about things that can't be helped!😏 Grieve for the person you "were" and embrace the "New you"......Peace out✌......Much love to you all.....Ninja.....❤❤❤❤

Embracing the new me this week I treated myself to new shoes. Now I don't do fashion. But I am dead chuffed with these.

You should post those as a new post I love them.

We all need a bit of encouragement sometimes.
