Research request regarding unwanted thoughts of infant related harm.

Unwanted thoughts of infant-related harm are a normal but distressing experience for most, if not all, new mothers. The stigma of having these thoughts, and fears of acting on them, may stop new mothers from speaking with their healthcare providers for support.

Dr. Nichole Fairbrother and her team at the UBC Perinatal Anxiety Research Lab are conducting a large-scale study to learn more about these kinds of thoughts to improve care and services for mothers.
