I have been under Moorfields eye hospital since July 24 following an episode of uveitis which appeared mid covid in my right eye. Monitoring has now shown microaneurysms in only my left eye which apparently is consistent with a diabetes diagnosis (which I don't have). I do have steroid induced glaucoma now in both eyes. I am on a low carb diet which has almost removed me from the prediabetic zone but I am wondering if the glucose spikes which occur with steroid use could be the culprit. Also wondering if this is a symptom of GCA as face ache (left eye, nose, cheek and teeth)occurred last time I attempted to taper.
I am keen to taper again from 14mgs to 12.5 mgs but am holding off following this recent occurrence.
Any advice or information gratefully received.
