Good Day all,

On 47.5 mg prednisone for GCA. Had flu vaccine about 4 hours ago. No side effects so far- knock on wood. I am starting Actemra IV this week- hopefully this will help taper with prednisone. Will let you know. Did not get new Covid vaccine yet, as my hubby had bad reaction for the first time. That scared me, so I decided to wait a bit.

Just for info - I always take paracetamol/tylenol for 24-48 hours after vaccine… advice given to me years ago by a practice nurse… never had any adverse affects from any vaccine.

Had the Pfizer vaccine last Saturday. No ill effects from that. It’s the Moderna vaccine that causes me unpleasant side effects. Good luck. ☘️
