Do I need to retake Prednisone after vomiting?

So about 20 minutes after taking my prednisone with food, I threw up, mainly phlegm and mucus. Do I need to retake the prednisone? Sorry for the gross details. I tried to search but couldn't find anything but I bet I will be able to now that I've asked.

Thanks!

Probably - 20mins isn't long enough for Pred to have been absorbed fully by body. Maybe try half a dose now... and another half later if you feel iffy PMR wise

Hope you soon feel better.

Thank you. I wasn't sure how long it took to be absorbed.

It takes about an hour to be sure that you have broken down and absorbed the pred tablets you took. So 20 mins probably isn't enough, The odd day of taking up to double the dose won't hurt but if it were to happen regularly then you would need to ask the GP.

Thank you. I couldn't remember how long it took to absorb the pills. I will take more.
