I receive the magazine Inspire from Versus Arthritis and there is an article about Spoon Theory in the Autumn issue. When I read it I thought I remembered reading about it in more detail on here. Been trying to find link via FAQ’s but couldn’t find it.
Would be grateful if someone could post a link as could do with a reminder as it was very useful to me when I was a ‘newbie”. Thanks

I think it is one of the links in my Fatigue post - just checked, it is. And there are other illuminating articles about management of fatigue along with it.
Thank you just what I was looking for. I find fatigue one of the most difficult things to overcome, but I am getting better and it’s only taken three years! Good to have a reminder that life has changed now and learning to adapt to doing things differently is so useful.
I think most of us do. I spent several days travelling last week coming back from Scotland to be greeted by no electric and a thawed out freezer!!! It didn't stink TOO much, it had only been off a few days, but it all had to be cleared and cleaned. By me! I'm still sitting here wondering whether to go and have an afternoon sleep - though I know from experience that as soon as I lie down. I will be wide awake ...
Feel for you, what a welcome home. I’m pretty good at afternoon naps, put an audio book on and asleep before chapter finishes. I spend more time scrolling back to find where I should be up to than getting to end of story
I love the spoon theory. It's something my (on the autistic spectrum) partner can understand. He can't get why I don't just go for a walk if I'm low on energy, but he now understands and even asks if I'm low on spoons.
